Feature Acts:
Below are a few examples of just some of past acoustic acts who have been featured at our events

My Jaike

My Jaike are made up of Jason Kiernan and Michael Anderson. Two guitars, two vocals and an array of killer tunes and harmonies. Their songs touch on childhood memories, love and life, whilst their set includes a wide selection of influences and covers including Dave Matthews and even Gangsta Rap! This popular Northampton duo certainly clock up the gigs on the local acoustic circuit. Highly entertaining stuff.

Cold Cold Heart

We write and play music that has roots stretching back to Woody Guthrie. It's Americana, it's roots, it's story songs, it's murder ballads, it's prison songs, it's red dirt! We like songs with lyrics that throw down an image.

Tammy Levy

Tammy has over ten years of experience as a performer taking her solo act right across the UK, and has earned herself an excellent reputation. Her vocal quality and range allow her to perform even the most demanding songs & styles with ease, coupled with a relaxed stage presence that appeals to all audiences.

Jack London

Jack is a dynamic performer with a dry and deadpan humour who is happiest when pushing his heartfelt original songs or imaginative cover re-interpretations on an unsuspecting audience. He is not adverse to bouts of self-mythologizing (his compositions are packed with references ... not least to himself!) and he is prone to encouraging audience participation wherever possible by extending the stage performance area with the impromptu use of chairs, tables and assorted furniture!

'Dem Urban Foxes

'Dem Urban Foxes are an acoustic duo, who have made themselves extremely sought-after around the local music circuit. They blend their own songs with a selection of alternative covers, making it a seamless journey. They are always the first choice for any event organiser, as their enthusiasm and stage presence delight audiences and fellow artists alike. You can guarantee there's never a dull moment when the Foxes are in town!

Fran Taylor

Fran Taylor is a singer songwriter who hails from rural Leicestershire. With a clear pure voice and songs that reach from her soul, her gentle delivery often remind you of bits of Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell. In recent years Fran has collaborated with Kenneth J Nash and has appeared on a number of his recordings, and is signed to his record label Old Hotel Records. With some time out from music for maternity leave it's great to have her back.

Steve Ward and Julie Sinclair have been working as a duo for most of 2015, performing at regular open mics and showcases building up a repertoire which includes covers from U2, Gabrielle, Lourdes and Adelle. Powerful vocals and catchy covers. Not to be missed.

Jacksboro' Highway

Evolving from sessions at various East Midlands acoustic clubs in the early 'noughties', the original Jacksboro' Highway trio featured seasoned blues veterans Steve Smith (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) and Martyn Fitzhugh (acoustic lead guitar), along with Dave Butler on bass.
After experiences as a four-piece and trio, they now play as a duo comprising Steve and Martyn, who continue to gig extensively throughout the region playing Jacksboro's much loved repertoire.

Shelly Care

Despite only recently starting to play music live - or indeed at all - Shelly has gone on from her initial covers only set to writing and performing her own material. Drawing inspiration mainly from life experience, her lyrical style is easy to relate to whilst musically she is influenced by artists of many genres lending an eclectic feel to her overall approach.

Northants band, Yodaclub, play all original indie pop tunes dripping with bittersweet harmonies, melodic bass lines and some major guitar noise - unless we're acoustic - when it’ll be less noisy, but still beautiful.
