Stevie Jones and The Wildfires

Stevie Jones and The Wildfires belong to Northamptonshire and have carved out a collection of down to earth, infectious self-penned songs. Think John Butler Trio, The Clash, Frank Turner, New Model Army, Counting Crows and maybe a bit of Ryan Adams.

Delivered in full band or stripped down acoustic, Stevie's songs are layers of honesty and urgency and draw on experiences ranging from abandoning alcohol and becoming “Straight Edge”, earning a crust as a professional archaeologist and living life in the modern-day music industry. ‘Stratigraphic Heart’, is their debut album recorded at Parlour Studios, Kettering with acclaimed producers Neil Haynes & Russ Russell and features an array of guests including New Model Army’ lead guitarist, Marshall Gill. The band consist of Stevie Jones (guitar/vocals), Vassilis Damitriadis (guitar), Lou Short (bass), and Jake Patrick (drums). The album had a Pledgers’ release in October 2015 and following a national release in Spring 2016 they have been busy with a run of well received gigs, festivals and radio slots with more to follow into 2017.

'A tremendously enjoyable debut album, Stratigraphic Heart is a complex layering of human endeavour captured simply and with absolute care‘
